Knowledge of plants that thrive in our climate, sourced from around the world— the Mediterranean, South America, South Africa, Australia, & more. I love to incorporate California natives where possible, and other plants with low water needs, to keep your garden as a healthy member of the local ecosystem while saving you money and time.

I have over 15 years of hands-on experience gardening in Southern California. Most recently, I spent six years growing through the ranks at the historic Armstrong Garden Centers; I earned my “Certified California Nursery Professional” License and assisted countless local gardeners in plant selection and horticultural advice.

I will familiarize myself with your garden, and discuss with you what you’d like to get out of it. Through understanding the needs of your garden (sun, soil, irrigation, etc.) I can carefully select plants & varieties that will perform better and longer. I’ll make sure to provide everything you need for longterm success, including soil dressing, fertilizer, detailed care tips, & more.

When I create new garden plans, I love to juxtapose plants with distinct features to maximize their impact and keep your interest as they grow throughout the season. Some of the fun features to play with include colors, textures and bloom season.
